How dare they make a film that tries to and quite successfully captures the indescribable grandiosity of life?! How dare they film such a gorgeous, ambitious story right up in the mountains and not on a set?! How dare they make such an unforgettably moving film about friendship and nature and the paths we take in life?! How dare they play with my heart like this?!
There's a moment in this film when Pietro says he needs to get away,…
Rewatched Edson Oda's Nine Days again for the first time in 18 months since Sundance 2020 and... you know this is an absolute *masterpiece*, right? It's everything magical about cinema and the spectacular existence of life and beyond. Pure bliss. Luca reigns!! OMFG, you guys. OMFG. You have no idea how much this is going to fuck you all up forever.
