What, I'm gonna make a joke about a public service announcement?
Shia LaBeouf plays a teenager with a developmental disability and his family struggles with it... there you just decided if you want to see it. This is a straight public service announcement film about the difficulties and joys of having a family member who is developmentally disabled and it is done quite well...kudos to Disney.
Recommended to people that need to learn about loving their family.

In this movie Shia LaBeouf plays a mentally handicapped kid who thinks he is a watermelon doctor.
He could've very well have been playing himself, but with masterpieces like Transformers and Dumb and Dumberer under his belt, his true greatness will never be understood.

This is one of those DCOMs that really go for something, and in this movie's case it really worked. It seemingly has aged pretty well surprisingly and it def gets you at least feeling things, but what it really succeeds in is having a simple message about family that we too often forget.
Shia LaBeouf is also fantastic of course!

The hardest I have ever cried in my life was watching this movie at 12 years old. I have no idea if it holds up. It's probably pretty offensive. But oh god my brother and I cried for an entire day after this movie

Sickeningly sweet and overwhelmingly wholesome PSA soap opera about a girl who’s incredibly mean to her family making a movie about how it’s not nice to be mean to the mentally handicapped.
