All those Disney+ memes going around reminded me that my family watched this together when it came out and I would sing the “Zircola Zircola! Bubbles dancing in the sky!” song at my mom and she hated it and was finally able to get me to stop doing it by singing it back at me in a falsetto voice anytime I started singing it.

Stuffed with enough unhinged extraterrestrial activity, bizarre family dinners, otherworldly late 90’s/early 2000’s CGI, poetic existential angst, soda guzzling, colorful teen fashion trends and an ultimate showdown armed with hairdryer + leaf blower to make it worthy of being an iconic camp classic. 4K release when?

The climax of the movie involves attacking bubble aliens with hairdryers, but the hairdryers aren't strong enough, and so, the kid brother jumps in and saves the day with a fucking leafblower.
The VFX are incredible.
