After hearing about it for most of my life, I finally got to see it, and boy did I like it. I enjoy stories that take a classic and give it a funny twist while retaining the essence of the overarching storyline.
I can't see a child seeing the dead and ghosts in this film and not being traumatized. They not only did an excellent job with the make-up, but they are also rather eerie and frightening. Richard Donner does a good job of preserving the quirky essence of 80s and 90s kids movies while also making it accessible to adults. Elfman's music captures both the lighthearted and the very gloomy components of the picture, which seemed to come effortlessly…

The opening sizzle real of IBC programming is pure gold and I absolutely love the cast… plus the scene transitions and effects work is and Danny Elfman’s score gives Donner’s ahead of its time Dickens take a demented Burton-esque edge—which I’m a mark for so yeah… I adore this.
❤️Carol Kane’s❤️ sheer brutality in this is next level and I’m convinced any movie with John Housman telling a story is good. Love the Trump tower dig, and Bobcat’s whole arc lmao.
Also, “The North Pole is abuzz as Christmas preparation is in full swing. But a group of psychos have other plans and seize Santa’s Workshop. Only Lee Majors can stop them”

Bill Murray playing a modern day Ebenezer Scrooge in Frank Cross was just hilarious. I really loved seeing the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. It was just so intriguing seeing these ghosts making Frank redeem himself as a person. I have to say that the second to third acts were my favorite parts of this film though. Nonetheless, Scrooged was a really solid Christmas film and a really heartwarming one. I highly recommend that you guys watch this with your family if you can as well!!
