Fill the 3 gallon jug. Pour those 3 gallons into the 5 gallon jug. Fill up the 3 gallon jug again. Fill the 5 gallon to the top from the 3 gallon, leaving one gallon of water in the 3 gallon jug. Empty the 5 gallon jug. Pour the remaining 1 gallon (from the 3 gallon jug) into it. Fill the 3 gallon again, add that to the 5 gallon jug. Bingo, 4 gallons of water in the 5 gallon jug. Thing is, that's not how they do it in the movie, so it's confusing.

really fun but completely psychotic and nonsensical movie about two men of completely different races, ideologies and visions for the world with the exact same M-shaped receding hairline
beautiful when you think about it like that

i love this movie (although it is 20 minutes too long) but also fuck this movie for trying to slam a working-class black new yorker as the real racist because he doesn’t trust white cops.

When Die Hard With A Vengeance was first released, Empire gave it 5 stars.

I was a bit incredulous about this when I read it because it seemed impossible to me that a second sequel to an action film where the first sequel had already been crapped on in most quarters would be THAT good. And then this happened:-

"Hot town, summer in the city
Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty...."

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.

    I mean, that's how you start…

I loved this movie so much when I was a kid because a key part of the plot takes place at the 72nd st 2,3 station, right by the Gray's Papaya and Sleepy's mattress store on Broadway, and I was such a fucking nerd that I was proud to tell people "there's not actually a pay phone there." Also the thought of driving a car through Central Park was the coolest thing ever to me. Upon rewatch I noticed another…

New York as a character (the ny of my childhood), gray’s papaya, Hillary and Trump both getting name dropped, old Yankee Stadium, Chester A. Arther, 10 quarters, Nova Scotia, violence that looks like it hurts, the federal reserve, badge #6991, Harlem, dump trucks, and holy smokes I never noticed both Willis and Jackson have the same hairline (and career hairline trajectory).

Anyways, despite losing some momentumafter the riddles end, this still manages to rip after all these years with its numerous set pieces, memorable score, awesome chemistry from the entire cast, and the uncanny ability to bring me back to a very specific time and place—New York, 1995.

Better than Lethal Weapon. There, I said it.

This film has been on my radar for as long as the original, but for some reason I never got around to see it. And, while the first is still iconic and has a few points to its credit, I find this third iteration to be far more enjoyable and cooler than the first, to the point that I'm considering ranking it higher. The addition of the "Simon Says" game is amazing…
