i know i'm supposed to be scared of chucky but look at this guy he's so short!! look at his little legs kicking around. i'm going to pick him up
chucky needs to calm tf down honestly
really clever symbolism from the filmmakers' part to name the dolls Good Guys when Chucky is in fact not a good guy
if you ever doubt yourself remember that chucky lost half of his body and literally melted and he still didn't give up.......... believe in your dreams <3
Kyle is the coolest, I love her.
The setting for the finale is legitimately perfect.
Hi! I’m.....Tommy!
All these years later and I finally came to the conclusion that Child’s Play II and it’s candy colored final boss toy factory showdown is my favorite of the series—it’s lean, mean, and full of everything that scared me about Chucky.
This franchise and I have an interesting relationship... I discovered it on my own via cable and not from my cool older cousin or some enlightened friend—and then I overdosed on it. The 90’s ended and I would rarely revisit them, only going to the theater or renting the latest installment, until I bought the Blu-ray box set when Curse of Chucky was released and since then I’ve rewatched them all at least once—picking apart nuances I never saw in…
No one:
Chucky: How’s it hanging, Phil? 😏😎😎😎😎😎
Chucky kicking non-stop for NO REASON when he’s hanging from people’s necks to bite them will never not be funny to me like aAAAAAAH HIS LITTLE LEGS JUST DINGINDINGIN ALL OVER THE PLACE LOOK HILARIOUS AND MAKE ME WANT TO GRAB HIM BY THOSE MOVING LITTLE LEGS AND THROW IT ON THE WALL
almost entirely padding until the toy factory finale but the toy factory finale rips.

1990 is the only year Child's Play 2 could've released. The reflexive tones of Craven and Williamson were still five years away, and the slasher had been dragged for miles upon miles behind the tow of corporatization. It was the perfect time to toss out a deliciously dark and rollercoaster-speed sequel to a killer doll movie, even if it was dead on arrival in terms of critical evaluation. This movie fucking sprints towards the end of its 84 minute runtime, utilizing expressionistic shadows and primary colors, outlandish set design, two visually distinctive locations, and a maximal understanding of trauma that somehow transforms into a moving discussion of connection between two lost souls. Chucky also writes "FUCK YOU BITCH" on a piece of paper and kills a teacher with a dodgeball pump and a yardstick. This is all fun and games even when it lingers on a formal level. Comparisons to Hooper are apt.
This is definitely the best one in the series. I was in middle school when I first saw this at a friends house for a co-ed sleepover birthday party which looking back I guess was pretty progressive. I mean that friend grew up to be a pretty cool person so it may have been because her parents were so chill and let her do things like have a blended sleepover party and watch this movie. We had the option to either watch this movie or make brownies so I tried to act so badass like watching this was no big deal, but the truth is this movie absolutely TRAUMATIZED me. It probably did that to all of us but we…
