it’s remarkable that a basic trope of a plot can be transformed and reborn as something that’s skating on the edge of brilliance in more ways than one
A really good psychological thriller, and one of the more realistic films about a kidnapping. Great performances from Teresa Palmer and Max Riemelt, who really bring these characters to life. Definitely worth watching!
my thoughts while watching this: teresa palmer looks like younger kristen stewart with an australian version of rooney mara's voice, thus i am a lesbian
Yes, this is a kidnap film but it's different from the others I have seen. Andi (Who is the Captor) is just a normal guy that is a teacher, very charming, friendly, hopeless romantic, and curiously rational. He meets this photographer name Clare who is basically on an adventure in the city of Berlin for the architecture. Well she immediately falls for Andi for his witty charm and great smile. They hit it off of course and it was only suppose to be for one night of erotic passion. The next day Andi leaves for work then Clare wakes up and realizes she is locked in the apartment with no way to escape. What makes this film interesting is he…
watching Teresa Palmer and keep reminding myself, "hey! she's not Kristen Stewart bitch" every time.
by the way... a good thriller. Max Riemelt did a fab. and Cate Shortland is directing BLACK WIDOW. excited.
