Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley give two of the best performances of the year in the grotesque, fucked-up fairytale that is The Substance. I loved the incredible direction from Coralie Fargeat, the gorgeous visuals and cinematography from Benjamin Kračun, the use of prosthetics and the sharp, relatable commentary on Hollywood and how we all live in society, the menacing score, the costumes, weirdo freak Dennis Quaid… I could go on and on for hours about everything I love about this…
