  One of the things I like the most about Batman is his rogue's gallery, and while some of them are ridiculous and a byproduct of a specific era, you have other iconic ones like "Joker", "Bane", "Riddler" who are not only entertaining to watch facing Batman, but they are mostly known for being these psychopaths with their distinctive traits.

  At the same time, you have characters like Mr. Freeze who is an incredibly deep, Shakespearean and poignant character whose motivations make you want to root for him at the end. Even though I think it could have been better if it had been longer and focused more on our antagonist, it would have ranked among my all-time favorite DC animated…

  At best, Subzero feels like an elongated episode, lacking focus on detective work to create a truly engaging plot. However, this film does do a good job of capping off Mr. Freeze’s character arc which was compelling, and one can argue he belongs with the Thanos’ and Magneto’s of the world in regards to logic and motives behind their “madness”.

  Overall this is a GREAT film, Mr Freeze has always been one of my favorite Batman villains, he’s one of the most sympathetic villains in the entire DC universe, I really love how he was depicted in the movie.

  I went into this expecting to have a good time but was still not expecting it to be this good. The animation was pretty solid, especially for its time. I liked that style of Gotham, it reminded me of the animated series. And it was also cool to see Robin sharing the crime-fighting spotlight with Batman. Overall, just great characters, story, & execution.

  The service I was watching this one on kept FREEZING ahahahaaha

  But yeah, no this was boring as hell. Even Conroy feels disinterested in the story. No one was giving their A game. Apprently Mr. Freeze is a cool (ahahahaaha) character in the Animated Series but looking at this you’d have no idea.

  A slight drop from Mask of the Phantasm, but it has my favourite ever batman villain Mr. Freeze so I loved it! I really hope Matt Reeves can give us a great live action version because he's a phenomenal character.

  Pretty cool action. The 3D rendered stuff let the film down a little. Digging the rest of the art style, and the score totally slaps.
