Synopsis
She has a killer party planned.
When an April Fool's Day prank turns deadly, Desiree Cartier, her brother Blaine, and five of their friends all become the targets of a twisted kill who begins hunting them down one by one.

DAY ONE: "Don't think of this month's scavenger hunt as a remake. However, we are watching a horror movie remake today."More like April Sucks Day am I right? This direct-to-video "remake" of the cult film from 1986 is baaaaaaad and apparently has nothing to do with the original film. It feels like if the Lifetime channel started a channel called LIfetime Horror. This movie also steals the ending of an underrated film called Gossip. I feel empty. It's movies like these that make me annoyed when people give films like Iron Man 2 half a star. You have no idea the crap that is out there you haters.

The real April Fool's Day prank here is played on anyone who actually watches the whole movie. Which, sadly, includes me.
It's April Fool's Day, everyone's entitled to one good prank... but this wasn't it.

I just had a dream where my mother and I browsed the DVD section of a store, and she picks up a copy of April Fool's Day. "Hey, look, AFD!" she alerts me. "That's the remake. It's awful. I already have the original". Even in my dream world, this film is no good.

Daily Horror Scavenger Hunt 10 - April 2019 - Day 01: Type in the words "April Fool's Day" into the Letterboxd search and watch any of the horror movies that come up.
Every character is awful and you just want them to die. But I enjoyed it. It's funny as hell, and it's fun cheering for awful people to die, and I actually laughed out loud (sitting alone on my couch) multiple times. Especially at the ending. Modern horror masterpiece of an ending. And Scout is in this. So that's also good.

Milan is drugged and Blake potentially set up as her rapist by "someone" (gee, I wonder who would benefit from that?), Blake's sister, Desiree, not particularly fond of Milan. All the other characters (actress Torrance, politician Peter, Miss Carolina Barbie, event photographer/videographer Ryan) happened to be there when Milan has a seizure and falls over a railing from the upper floor room onto a table, crashing through it, dying on the spot. A year later (April Fool's Day, no less), Milan's "ghost" seems to be haunting Desiree, even as she has her parents' inheritance, since Blake lost the rights to it for being inside the room when Milan perished.
