Central Station 1998
CENTRAL STATION is a beautiful and at times genuinely touching film. At its heart is Fernanda Montenegro as Dora, who she makes a grounded, realistic character out of. She isn't endlessly patient with Josue, and flips on him frequently when the tensions of their situation are high. But at the end of the day, she sees so much of herself in Josue and wants to steer the trajectory of his life away from the one she has led.

The Conversation 1974
THE CONVERSATION is a pretty good paranoia thriller. Gene Hackman is great in the lead role, he effectively gets across Harry's complexity owing to his line of work, namely the conflict between the psychological impact of an event in his past and the natural curiosity that's present in his job. The couple of moments where he does open up slightly were really powerful.
I thought the film only moved from "just fine" to "very good" territory in the third act.…
