5/5 stars. 10/10 grade. A spot on my top 100 of all time.
Looper and The Last Jedi are masterpieces and so is Knives Out.

Just because the "j.K. rOwLiNg HaS gOnE fUlL gEoRgE lUcAs" narrative is easy doesn't mean it's right, guys.
Maybe my love for this world is blinding me or whatever, but I had a good time with this. The episodic storytelling from current franchises has really been a beating to experience the last few years, so seeing a franchise written like a book is rather refreshing.
I like the narrative Rowling is building. Whereas some of you guys think she needs…
I have to admit I liked but didn't love the first half (an inverse of my experience with Dune) and then Austin Butler came on-screen and took part in a monochrome gladiator match to destroy the remains of a rival house under a dying black star and from there...... it had me. I would do so many crimes for Denis if he asked me to.
The guy is on the heater of all heaters with Dune: Part Two and as…
The Road to 4: Trash
Forky is an ICON.
And this movie is very, very good. Although it falls short of the impossible standard of meeting the quality of the first 3, this epilogue is still the funniest, smartest, most engaging and clever animated movie of the year.
But.... and I say this as a person who sobbed during Toy Story 3 mere minutes before walking to the theater for 4... this didn’t have the resonance I thought it’d have. I’ve heard…
A textbook example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. Cat and mouse thrillers are up there as one of my favorite sub genres, and this one ranks up with the best of them thanks to Justin Kurzel's steady hand, rock-solid performances and crisp visuals.
The pacific northwest is having a moment in film! Please keep those tax breaks coming, because I need more rivers, forests and lakes and less deserts at the movies.
If you liked this, give Oliver Stone's Talk Radio a watch!
These movies are a terrific resource for all of us to understand what’s happening in our own minds as well as others. Might be the last justified Pixar sequel for a while, let’s all try to enjoy it.
Gets into Oscar Bait Weepy territory a little bit, but manages to pull those moments off pretty seamlessly. Durkin keeps the pace moving despite knowing where it’s all going, and treats the characters with a tender hand. As with all great sports movies, it would have been just as effective if it were hockey, baseball, etc.
Really impressed with this.
Stunning in its simplicity, an aesthetic dream, a real deal Christmas classic.
Not much more I could have ever asked for.
