The Square 2017
Saw the 6:00 pm "The Square" (my 2nd viewing) at Miami Beach Cinematheque with Moises Enghelberg. It's still brilliant and has two of the funniest scenes of the year (the condom scene and the ad).

Loving Vincent 2017
Saw the 2:40 pm "Loving Vincent" at AMC Aventura 24 in auditorium 22. Felt like an animated Rashomon about a painter (and that's a huge compliment)

Thor: Ragnarok 2017
Saw the 6:40 pm "Thor: Ragnarok" (my 3rd viewing) at Cinemark Paradise 24 in 3D in auditorium 18 with Daryl Hyman. Still hilarious

Lady Bird 2017
Saw the 9:30 pm "Lady Bird" at Cinemark Paradise 24 in auditorium 9. Flat out loved it. Greta Gerwig definitely has a voice. I laughed a ton and found it incredibly relatable. As always, Saoirse Ronan and Tracy Letts are great. Lauire Metcalf is totally deserving of all the raves I've been hearing. My only complaint is that they used Dave Matthews Band

Marshall 2017
Saw the 4:25 pm "Marshall" at Cinemark Paradise 24 in auditorium 23 with mom. I really wasn't a fan. It reminded me of "Denial" in that it's a very important and relevant story but told in the most pedestrian way. It didn't click for me at all which is shocking as the story being told is incredible.

Blade Runner 2049 2017
Saw the 7:00 pm "Blade Runner 2049" (my 2nd viewing) at Cinemark Paradise 24 in DBOX in auditorium 11 with Daryl Hyman and Ben Worth. It was even better on second viewing. It's utterly engrossing.

The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) 2017
Watched "The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected" on Netflix. I thought it was great

Close Encounters of the Third Kind 1977
Saw the 7:00 pm "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" (2017 4K restoration) at Cinemark Paradise 24 in XD in auditorium 19. I can honestly say i was crazy for not loving it before. I think I needed to see it on the big screen to appreciate it. It's truly a masterpiece.

Patti Cake$ 2017
Saw the 7:30 pm "Patti Cake$" at Cinemark Paradise 24 in auditorium 13. I flat out loved this movie. It reminded me of Warrior in that it's cliched and predictable, and yet it doesn't matter because it's so well told that you get wrapped up in the story anyways. This is one of the best films of the year hands down.
