i finally get to tag this under “my apt” bc, to update on what i’ve mentioned in one of my last viewings, i am happy to announce that i have successfully moved into one of my dream neighborhoods :,)))
this isn’t a meaningful anecdote whatsoever so u can skip to the end, i just don’t know where else to talk abt this lol. the first vday i spent watching this film was in 2017, when it was still in theaters. i was alone, as always, and i still had a shitload of free tickets to see this thanks to john legend’s atom promo. i took the expo line from my apt to arclight santa monica n fell asleep on the way. much to my surprise, this random couple that sat across the aisle from me ended up being my sister’s harvard summer friends. they knew who i was but i had no idea who they were, and instead of approaching me, they took a picture of me in my sleep to send to my sister. so whenever i watch La La Land on vday, for some reason all i can evr think abt is this random photo of me sleeping on the expo line
39 watches to go this year so this’ll be it for tonight. happy valentine’s day everyone. may all of us find love grand enough to feel like we’re floating among the stars. or, at least, confident enough to break and enter into the griffith observatory. at least it was a monday.
