It's crazy how every single main character except Paul Mescal fucking dies, and I didn't care about any of them. Almost everyone is under-utilised besides Denzel, who most def has the sauce.
The first Gladiator (in my opinion) is a mess, but a charming and humorous one. The sequel starts as a copy and paste of the story and is quite strong despite this, but it lacks the charm and humour and is dragging its feet after Pedro Pascal's character dies, who really didn't have much to do in the first place. And where the first movie knew its limits (an uprising was far too grand), this movie gets overly ambitious and suffers for it.
Overall it's good then disappointing. The fights are silly in an enjoyable way and the men are unbelievable. Also really liked the final scene, surprisingly emotional.
