Appears as if it was nothing more than a finger exercise for the graphic artists - pointless but beautiful.

Baby Driver 2017
First of all, it was fun to watch Baby Driver. The movie has it's own style and the way, how musical pieces are implemented, is very unique.
Weak points are the clichéd bog-standard storyline and the car chase scenes. Those action scenes appear very hectic caused by numerous annoying cuts. For a movie, that mainly deals with the work of a getaway driver, this must be critical. So in the end, it's nothing more than a okay blockbuster, that cannot stick with the much more mature Drive. -

Girl 2018
This drama seems to be very controversial. On the one hand, people praise the acting of Victor Polster, who being a cisgender male actor embodies a transgender girl on her preperations for sex transformation.
On the other hand people criticize the movie explicitly, because the protagonist girl is portrayted with a very unstable character, suffering pudency, depression and self-disgust.
To be honest, I can recognize both points. It is a mostly sad but not a bad movie. The plot would… -
The Return of the Pink Panther 1975
After a quite inventive robbery scene, one of the most notorious kings of slapstick takes over the case. And Inspector Clouseau reliably serves his popular calamities and embarrassments. A movie for the painless lovers of rediculous nonsense.

Bajirao Mastani 2015
Being truly lush, rich, extravagant and colorful, without a doubt Bajirao Mastani is an optical attraction. I also took delight in some of the swift dance choreographies containing quick movements and flying saris. The storyline and the characters did not enchant me, though. It's way too much pride and honor demeanor sugarcoated by a lovestory, that is neither convincing nor stirring. And this movie is a long and cheesy journey but as mentioned above, it's also an attraction.

The Mitchells vs. the Machines 2021
"Let's get weird"
The Mitchells are not weird, really. But they are very nicely animated. Style is the biggest merit, this movie can offer. It's colourful, flashy, detailed, fast but not hectical. The storyline couldn't convince me as much. Reminding I, Robot, the plot tries to criticize todays influence of media products on the behavior and the every day life of the human society. This never gets deeper than showing the warm but stereotypical characters looking on their smartphones instead…

Tale of Cinema 2005
Hong Sang-soo seems to be in love with his pathetic male characters, who behave like twelve-year old princesses. This movie contains too much of the famous cowboy's tobacco brand starting with an 'M'.
The implementation of the Radetzky March was a surprise, though it doesn't really fit the not existing spirit of optimism. -
Dune 2021
Maybe I finally found a space opera, that fits my sense of taste. Allways detesting Star Wars for its cheesiness and its superficiality, I wasn't so pleased with the very emotionless Star Trek either.
Director Villeneuve took his own way with Dune, telling Frank Herbert's story very slowly, substantiating the epos with breath-taking pictures. All the stubborn characters appear as rough and sandy as the setting's planet. I can't wait for the second part! -
Another Round 2020
What's funny, interesting and worrying at the same time, is that watching Another Round really made me want to get a drink. Well, I was able to resist this desire. So, I guess, I'm not addicted - yet.
But this movie is stupefying in itself. The brilliant acting and the sensational (mostly classic) score provite an air of ease despite the partly dramatic sequences and falls of the protagonists. The story is not sugarcoating alcoholism but it either did not…
