Fink: “When you grow up without something you... end up spending a lot of time thinking about it.”
A sweet movie that unfortunately I just didn’t fall in love with. Emotionally it never hit me like it seems to have hit everyone else. The comedy elements never really landed for me, and other than Roz I never really fell in love with any of the characters. It also took me a bit to really get into the film. For the first 30-45 minutes it was just a touch too bland for me.
The tide really turned when they had the learning to fly montage. Musically in that moment and really throughout the entirety of the movie, it was incredible. I loved the song they played over that segment in particular and it’s what helped get me into the film. From that moment on I had a fun time with it. I just thought I’d enjoy it a bit more.
