Hello my spooky friends!
As it’s the last day of the challenge, just wanted to say a huge thank you and congrats to everyone who has participated in Pick Your Poison!! 🎉 Whether it was for a few of the themes or all of them, I really enjoyed reading your reviews and it was so interesting to see all of the different choices and perspectives. It’s definitely something I’ve looked forward to each day! I tried to like reviews as I saw them, and read all of the ones I noticed as they came up in my feed.
If you want to stretch out finishing into November, that’s totally okay btw, and the lists will still be there if you need things to watch throughout the year!
I’m not sure whether I’ll put another list together for next year, but there’s a good chance I will. So, I’d also love to hear any feedback you have. What themes would you love to see again? What new themes would you like? Were important subgenres missing this year that you want to see in the future? How was the variety of movie choices? What would you like to see more or less of? Have any must-include films that weren’t there this year? How did the structure/format work for you? What things did you not like as much? No obligation to provide feedback, but if you have any thoughts you’d like to share, I’m totally open. I’m happy to hear from folks who didn’t participate but might be interested in doing so in the future, too.
I hope everyone made a new friend or two and found at least a few new movies to love, and had some things they were glad to check out even if you didn’t love them.
I’m updating my top and bottom first-time watches in the text of my PYP film list as I go, if anyone is interested. If you have a top 5, 10, etc., you’re more than welcome to share them here, in the comments of the main list, or wherever else your heart desires (drop a link if you’d like). Would love to check them out.
