I love Spider-Man. I’ve never been a huge fan of Marvel’s outputs, but Spider-Man is always the exception. Miles Morales has all the same appeal and charm of Peter Parker while very much being his own character with a distinct voice. His story in a regular film would’ve been fantastic, but within the context of an absolute spectacle like is even greater. There are a number of little indies out there that are pushing the bounds of animation, but the scale to which that’s happening here is thrilling. This was so damn cool. It was so well put together, and all the little hilarious details made it even better. I wasn’t immediately sold on the competing animation styles, but it works so well in context. I definitely plan on seeing this again.
