i really think this could have been 5 stars if that man was not there . like WHY WOULD A MAN BE THERE ITS PISSING ME OFF
not the most skillful exploration of bisexuality/queer experience- like could have been handled far better and with less offensive implications.
i think this was easily aubrey’s best work this year despite it only being like 10 mins of screen time.
i think it was at its strongest when the familial parts were explored, i really wish the romance plot was not in this in the slightest.

made me feel things when the mom and siblings and aubrey were involved, not relatable to me for the like self discovery factor, although im sure that some people really felt impacted by it. i just think if you’re going to explore something as important as that you should do it considering the implications of your writing. 

anyways if u cut out all romance this movie is a lovely coming of age classic. love reminders to live! 

also no one is mentioning that leith ross played for genuinely 5 seconds and then the scene cut???
