Absolute ass kicking performance delivered by the man Burt Lancaster, wonderful, suspenseful and dark toned movie that is intense up until the ending, fine and wonderful watch.

Absolutely charming funny western trying and successfully changing the course of a classic Western, the movie is directed by the already famous Burt Kennedy that takes the camera instead of writing the script, the movie follows the dumb but charming Mr. Látigo Smith portrayed by James Garner, taking a job as a local sherif in a town sick of the gold rush that is in need of a lawman that can set some order around.

I like the movie as a complement to the video game, retelling a few things differently, changing the Seattle each circle was at first a little confusing but it was an original touch from each different director, some styles were absolute garbage but most of the art style was incredible.

A highly anticipated western for me, my favorite western hero, Gary Cooper tags along another historic one like Burt Lancaster in a movie that sets in the middle of the Mexican independence, this movie is considered to be the father of the Spaghetti Western and I can see why, there’s some build up elements that Sergio Leone clearly took from here, and some action sequences that remind me of The Wild Bunch, the movie itself didn’t get the masterpiece vibes…
