My only regret is not watching this in an IMAX theatre 😭 Brilliant score! fantastic visuals for such a small budget! Re-watched it at home but this will never hit the same like it did on the initial viewing in theatre, I pray it comes back someday! This is how a Zilla film is suppose to be done! Actually has emotion to it too. Shitty monster verse films don’t even come close to this.

Steelbook worthy? - 100% YES! Just got my Japan exclusive steelbook with the limited edition set! I hope someday Manta Lab or someone does a quality premium for this!

This show is a masterpiece! Perfect from start to finish. Best show that’s aired since HoTD S1 imo. Do not sleep on it! I want more! But at the same time it’s not needed.

Still to this day one of my favourite trilogies! Loved every second of this first film! CGI in this film still blows me away as recently I found out that the apes throughout the entire film are not real 😭 Dawn my fav one in the trilogy is up next! Can’t wait for Kingdom!

Best 4K transfer I have ever seen! I watched the directors cut this time around, really enjoyed it, but my memory of the first watch of this is hazy. I have no doubt the upcoming Aliens 4K transfer will be just as stunning. I plan to watch the 4K Alien 1979 theatrical ver just before the release of Aliens to see the differences since the general consensus is theatrical > directors cut.

Felt sorry for that Xenomorph, it just wanted a hug.

Firstly, who the fuck takes a girl out on a date to watch porn? 💀
But we got to see bros short lived villain arc. I refuse to believe this man survived that many shots and survived. My guess is the ending scene post brothel shootout was a dream of his ideal scenario where he’s praised as a hero.

Steelbook worthy? - Possibly, but unlikely I’d watch this film again for a long time. It was great, but I was a bit underwhelmed.

Had to get this last minute watch in before KINGDOM. So excited for it! War was my least favourite of the trilogy, but in no way was it a bad film, quite the opposite. I love talking monkeys! RIP CAESAR 🫡

Steelbook worthy? - DEFINITELY! Still as shame that Rise and Dawn didn’t get a solid WWA premium treatment, but WAR did, and I have the beautiful Manta slip for this.

Re-watched before big DUNE Part 2 next week! My biggest regret was not going to see this film in IMAX 1.43:1 but I’m mad excited to see part two in 1.43:1 dual-laser. This is my second watch of Dune and it was honestly so much better than my first watch. Just understanding more of the lore from this universe beforehand really helped and now has me fully invested. ‘May thy knife chip & shatter’
