    it sucks that this never really evolves into anything because there’s interesting ideas at play here - the cross section between identity and criticism, critics vs artist, idolatry… but wow does a majority of this feel like a parody of every A24 horror movie I’ve ever seen instead of exploring those themes with nuance.

    There’s some fun moments, snappy direction, and Ayo and Malkovich deliver solid performances but mostly this just feels undercooked and tedious. Bummer!
