There’s a reason Disney had its great renaissance in the late 80s/early 90s, as that time features some absolute classics, and The Lion King is right up there along the best. Truly beautiful animation and visuals, as the animals and African landscape lend itself greatly to that, notably the opening and the stampede scenes. It features a bunch of good songs, including not only a couple of my favorites, but Hans Zimmer definitely made the best score there's ever been in a Disney film. It’s also got some great characters, both fun and multi-layered that make it just that much more entertaining. From Scar, Mufasa, Rafiki, Nala, Zazu, & of course Timon and Pumba. Honestly one of the only characters I don’t really love is Simba, but there’s still so much to enjoy about this one. Overall a great and very rewatchable entry for Disney.
