“Remember who you are. You are my son and the one true king.”
An amazing birthday watch. I’m now 24 and this movie still means so much to me. It captures the stages of grief, the heart of fatherhood, and purpose of life all in 89 minutes. The scene where Mufasa shows himself clear as day to Simba hits so much harder. He shows himself in what looks like a heavenly foam. He is reminding Simba to remember who he truly is, his son and now the rightful king. Mufasa’s death was sad enough but in that moment, he was willing to show himself to Simba in detail with beautiful colors and clouds roaming in one big circle. Truly a beauty, breathtaking, emotional, and timeless film. This film has stood by me from childhood to present day. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SO MUCH!
