Ketchup leather...is not a thing

Plan Check's ketchup leather seems to be making waves in the tech world for some reason. But it's not a new innovation per se because chef Ernesto Uchimura has been making the stuff for years. Anyway, the Atlantic has an interesting take on how not everything needs "fixing," like burgers.

LA Mag finds a magazine spread from 1971 on the three best pizzas from...1971 in Los Angeles. Remarkably, one of the places is still open in the Valley, and that's Mazzarino's, located in Sherman Oaks.

LA Weekly discovers a Shanghai-style restaurant called Bamboo Creek in Monterey Park that has everything from chicken thigh with egg yolks to eel "burgers," essentially the kind of buns that you build when you order Peking Duck, but with stir-fried eel. The whole grilled fish is the perfect thing to share in a big group.
