Pasadena doesn't know what kind of treat it's getting starting this morning. First reportedby LA Weekly, Lincoln is a new bakery on Lincoln Avenue just a hop skip away from Altadena on the northwestern part of Pasadena. Founded by Christine Moore, who also opened the notable Little Flower Candy Co (which has the most addictive salted caramels ever), Lincoln serves a stretch that doesn't necessarily have much in the way of compelling baked goods.
The early menu offers everything from morning buns, croissants, muffins, and scones to cookies, baguettes, and coconut macaroons. In a large industrial space, the bakery seems outfitted for wholesale service, though it seems such a waste of space if people can only enjoy these goods at Little Flower and here in Pasadena. Coffee comes via Stumptown, for anyone living in the area that needs a solid cup of joe.
Hours run 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
