As seen in a couple places on my FL:

We all have things about our friends that make us slightly envious.

Not in a bad way, but in a 'Wow! I wish I had that person's hair/eyes/money/relationship/toenails/whatever.'

So tell me what about me makes you envy me. . . then if you feel like it, post this in your LJ and see what makes me envious of you.

I envy your air of unshakable calm. I wish I had that. It's nice when you give it away, too. Also, you are fuzzy. Obviously, as a woman I probably should not aspire to be quite *that* fuzzy, but I do love your fuzziness.

Your good heart.
Also, you can actually comfort people, while I usually leave most folks as freaked out and confused as they start out.
(it's the whole gallows-humor thing...a lot of people don't understand it so I can't give other people what *I* would want because I'm such a freak. They think I'm being mean, sometimes, when I try)
Also, you live somewhere beautiful and I kind of...don't.

I'm not doing this for many people, or for myself, because I don't really envy. I do recognize qualities in others, but I know they're part of that person's journey, earned or learned, or possibly innate. But I would like to celebrate your rock-solid acceptance of others, your humor, and a knack for touching people's hearts.

There are many things I admire about you (especially the things mentioned by others here), but one thing that I am definately envious of is your tech skillz. Though you are a Linux Geek (and I'm stuck in the wasteland that is Windows), I think your ability with computers is really cool, and is always something I wish I knew more about.

I could never keep up...

but I wish I hadn't been, like all-thumbs at that stuff.
cause I am, and it's kind of tragic.

I envy your ability to give and receive love so freely and with such a non-judgmental nature. You also are extremely easy to talk to and you have a wonderful memory. *smooches*

Oh, Karl, how can I even do this for you? You're such an amazing person. You have a warmth, an openness, a compassion that is truly gentlemanly. You are always in there with the right word at the right time, when it's really needed. I really admire and respect you.

I actually kind of envy you for your living space. And also your kindness. And also for your warmness. And also for your ready smile. And...Oh heck...You're just a great guy and I am blessed to be your friend...

You ability to successfully live a life that by others' standards is unusual, but thoroughly right and normal for you. Regardless of what form it takes, it's an amazing gift.

Your polyam household :-). While I may not know much about it, I know you have one, and wish we did (and/or could).

Just catching up with LJ this morning so didn't see this till now.

Not so much envious, but admire. Your focus on the task at
hand and how while all about you are running around with
their hair on fire, you can still keep your focus.

Well that and your l33t Unix sklz.

Your uncanny ability to, now matter what, make any other human being feel warm and loved and cared for and worth something.

You have never failed to make me feel good when I'm around you.
