Disney is back in the Mattel Fold!

 Hey Gang!

I mentioned to you that Disney had move the production of its' Princess to Hasbro and Jakks in 2016.  As of January of 2022, Mattel has won back the license to produce dolls and toys based on the Walt Disney Company’s popular character like ice princesses Elsa and Anna from the “Frozen” movie franchise. The new dolls by Mattel will reach the Market in 2023!

Most of Disney's doll releases since 2016 have been from its' Live Action except for Manoa, Frozen II, Raya and the Last Dragon and Encanto. These dolls who have be release for Disney's live action and animated movies  made by Jakk and Hasbro will end production as of 2022. I am wondering will these Hasbro's Disney dolls go on sale and will they become collectable? What do you think?

There is a new AA Ken Fashionista on the Horizon! I don't know when but wanted to let you know! It looks like an update of  Fashionista Ken #130 or the AA Classic Cool Ken. I like the braids I did on my Ken #130 better doll better!

A Busy Fall. Help Needed!

 Hey Gang!

It is a busy fall in Johnston! Harold has mostly worked solo. Apenimon and Ahiga have been able to help him out occasionally. 

After being injured in the spring and not able to work for months, he realized help on occasionally wasn't working! 

Harold fractured his ankle working alone and you would think he would be sad being out of work but that is not his nature.

He needs fulltime help. He calls a good friend who needs a new start! Harold waited at the train station for Cal and his kids to arrive.

Harold: Cal! Hey Man! It is good to see you! You have never been far from my thoughts.
Cal: it is good to see you too!

Harold: Look at this little sweetie! Is that a crown? Are you a princess? You are going to be a heart breaker!
Rita giggles.

Cal Jr. joins the group to greet Harold

Harold: Hey! Little Man...I guess I should say big guy! WOW, you have grown in the past two years!
Cal Jr. : Hello Mr. Hill! We haven't seen you in  few years.  I have gotten taller since then.

I've got a place for you guys to stay. It is small but cheap and clean. I know the Principal of the school and she is just waiting on a call for you and the school records for Cal Jr. to start. I've talked to my friend at the daycare and there is a spot open for Rita! The kids will need a Doctor's visit too. I've got you on the insurance plan so don't worry about that.

Let's get your luggage and put it in the van.

Cal: Hey, thanks so much for doing all of this.  I feel like I've got so much to do!

New Fresh Squad Kahlil and Malik Vs Kahlil Comparison!

 Hey Gang!

I ordered  The Fresh Doll Kahlil  from Walmart .com. I ordered  three dolls to be delivered to my home. Because of his complexion and the price I knew I need more than one! 

Dr. Lisa did a great job! I think at her price point and quality, she might change the doll game. There is a $7.00 difference between Fresh Squad doll and Mattel Made to Move doll! 

This is how they arrived. They were dropped off in a handle bag on my steps. It is a good thing I really wanted these dolls because I tracked them and knew when they showed up on my steps.

My Malik has been here turning heads for a while! My girl doll think he is one of the hottest dolls I have added to my collection in a while.

The new sneaker are of a heavier quality than most doll shoes. Go Dr. Lisa!

What else is new about this Fresh Squad Doll!

The elbow joints are new and more articulated.

It is not quite as good as Mattel but it is better than the old Fresh Squad.

The knees have change so that he can cross his leg.

His hair is shinier and fused at the ends to keep it from unraveling!

The body has more of a matte finish.

You could swap! I just have the head sitting on the body. I should be pushed down.

Comparing Kahlil to Malik 

Kahlil vs Malik!

Malik is darker.

Kahlil is more pronounced! His hair is shinier, his face paint is darker and his eyes are larger.

Malik has longer hair but Kahlil's hair is thicker.

Kahlil hair is rooted to the nape of his neck and Malik hair is only par of the way.

Kahlil head is a solid caramel brown while Malik is a bit more darker and translucent. 

You can see that Kahlil's hair is different shinier and of a different material and tighter.

The hair band is black on Kahlil!

The neck hole is a bit larger on Kahlil.

The neck knob is different too!

Kahlil is a great doll but I am still loving my Malik! I think because of his translucent head, it is easier to move his head to a Kahlil body than vice versa.

So that is what I will do!

Sterling will get the old Malik body since it appears to be a more mature body than the AA cheerleader body I had him on.

So on his new body but back in one of his outfits is my Malik!
