Delah is a recurring character in Horizon Forbidden West.
History[]
Hailing from the Claim, Boomer would often get into trouble, with their father telling Delah that it was her job to look out for her sister.[1]
Delah and Boomer were sent to the Forbidden West by their father in search of an "unknown opportunity" that they would know when they see it after an incident involving explosives and his precious homebrew. As they travelled, Delah often became frustrated with Boomer's behaviour, wishing she could travel alone.[2]
Setting up shop in Chainscrape, Delah and Boomer sold a prototype weapon (named either the Bangbuster or Boombuster and described as being a hammer) to Jordert Guardsman, warning him of its volatility, which he retorted. After the weapon burned his eyebrows off, he tried to get a refund from the Oseram sisters, but they refused, with Javad siding with them as they had warned Jordert about the weapon before he bought it.[3]
Horizon Forbidden West[]

Delah and Boomer working in Chainscrape.
Working to improve a weapon she had seen in a drawing of a Tenakth warrior in a Carja scroll, Delah was working to improve the projectile's velocity while Boomer wanted to add explosives to it.[2] After Aloy suggested doing both, Delah and Boomer had her collect Charger Horns and a Fanghorn Rib in order to build it. After finishing the Prototype Spike Thrower, the Oseram tinkers allowed Aloy to keep it.[4]
After Aloy left Chainscrape, another explosive incident took place, prompting Delah and Boomer to leave the settlement,[1] with the two sisters meeting Erend on their way out.[5] Sun-King Avad had their shop condemned, while Javad had Delah and Boomer listed as wanted suspects for questioning.[6] Knowing they couldn't return to the Claim, they joined a caravan heading further west after the Spinebreak reopened,[1] stopping at Camp Nowhere,[7] and settled in Hidden Ember due to its relatively small population helping minimise the risk of collateral damage.[1]
Delah and Boomer got into a fight after Boomer tried to add explosive to one of Delah's prototypes, to which Delah said that they'd discuss the next morning after they both cool off.[1] During the night, Boomer had an idea for a Shredder Gauntlet and walked off into the desert to find the parts needed to build it, leaving Delah to sleep because she said that she didn't want to talk until morning.[7]

Delah and Aloy searching for Boomer.
After waking up, Delah demanded Abadund to tell her which way Boomer went, but he refused for Delah's safety.[1] After Aloy came and offered to look with Delah, Abadund complied. After finding several places where Boomer stopped to search for parts, they found her rushing back to her tools as she was being chased by machines. After fighting off the machines, Delah helped Boomer perfect the Shredder Gauntlet, which Boomer wanted Aloy to test on the Vanishing Dread. After taking down the Shellsnapper, Delah told Aloy that the entire experience made her realise that Boomer doesn't see the world like she does, and that's okay. Deciding to embrace Boomer's skills with explosions rather than try to supress them, Delah told her about a new idea for an explosive prototype she had, which Boomer was very excited to begin work on.[8]
Personality[]
Delah often acts as the voice of reason between her and her sister, and as such, is often frustrated by Boomer's eccentric behavior and not understanding Boomer's likely autism, wishing that she could travel alone.[2] After fearing that she had driven Boomer away and gotten her killed, Delah became more understanding to Boomer, deciding to embrace her skills with explosions rather than try to supress them, and came to understand that Boomer doesn't see the world like she does.[8]
