Sydney is a city of the south-eastern coast of Australia. It the country's most populous city, but not, as is often assumed, its capital.

The British newspaper Metro ran a contest in which readers could win a four-night stay in Sydney in the summer of 1995.[1]
After having their memories modified by their daughter in the summer of 1997, Mr and Mrs Granger moved to this city, opening a small sweet shop.[2]
On 14 December 2018, a Muggle speed camera captured blurry footage of several out-of-control riderless Nimbus 2000 broomsticks speeding on a motorway in Sydney. The Statute of Secrecy Task Force was soon after deployed to track the rogue brooms before they were noticed by Muggle authorities.[3]
