The Statute of Secrecy Task Force (SOS) was a department[3] of the International Confederation of Wizards that was officially established on 16 November 2018, in response to the Calamity in partnership between the British Ministry of Magic to help contain outbreaks of magic from being noticed by Muggles. Members of this team were called Calamity Investigators.[2] Wizards or witches could voluntarily join by signing a Volunteer Registration form.[2]
