"Harry's mouth fell open. The dishes in front of him were now piled with food. He had never seen so many things he liked to eat on one table: roast beef, roast chicken, pork chops and lamb chops, sausages, bacon and steak, boiled potatoes, roast potatoes, chips, Yorkshire pudding, peas, carrots, gravy, ketchup, and, for some strange reason, peppermint humbugs."
— Description.[src]

Peas are tiny, round, green seeds that are eaten by both Muggles and wizards as vegetables.

History[]

Large bowls of peas were served throughout the 1890–1891 school year,[2] at the Christmas Feast of 1986,[3] Welcoming Feast,[1] End-of-Term Feast of 1992,[4] and at the End-of-Term Feast of 1993 in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.[5]

Additionally, when speaking with Rubeus Hagrid about his encounter with the man who sold him Fluffy in 1992, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley found him outside his hut, shelling peas into a large bowl.[6]

One could order pea soup at the Leaky Cauldron but, according to Dre Head, it was only a matter of time "before it eats you".[7]
