Skills are abilities performed by using mana.[1]
Overview[]
All actions done using this mana are called skills.[2] They are used by both players and NPCs. Each skill is categorized as Active or Passive. Skills in Lucid Adventure usually require mana to be executed but there are some classes that have access to other resources such as Swordsmen and Sword Energy.
Active Skills (액티브 스킬, aegtibeu seukil): a skill that needs an action from the user to trigger its effect. To activate a skills, the user chants "스킬사용" (WEBTOON: "Use Skill" in Hardcore Leveling Warrior; "Skill Use" in X & Ash) in most cases or a variation of that phrase.
Passive Skills (패시브스킬, paesibeuseukil): a skill that is always active. One that does not have to be cast.

Skills used by Players are divided into 3 sections.
- Class Skills: These are skills that are associated with a users class.
- Race Skills: These are skills associated with the users Race.
- Personal Traits: A skill randomly given at character creation. It is a trait given regardless of classes or tribes.[3]
Skill Types[]
- Ensemble (앙상블): The ability to overlap two or more skills to each other. In this case, a completely different and new effect is applied to the skill.[4]
- Link Skill (연계기): When two character's skills are linked together in succession and sometimes combined to create a stronger skill.
- Magic(마법): magic refers to a skill system that allows characters in the game to cast spells for a variety of effects, including attacking other players, protecting allies and healing allies.
- Conceptual Magic:(개념적 마법): a spell made from the concept of a player's personal trait.
- Demonic Skills
- Divine Skill: These are skills used by Gods in Lucid Adventure.
- Dragon Skill: These are skills used by Dragons and characters that siphon off the power of dragons in Lucid Adventure.
- Nightmare Skill: They are skills that are empowered by Nightmare, which nullifies the defensive effects of all attributes.[5]
- Swordsmanship: Skills that are done using swords.
- Sword Force(검강): It is a sword skill that is only achievable when a swordsman's body and sword are in complete unison. The user's arms become blades themselves
- Skill Link (스킬연계): When skills are used sequentially.[4]
- Ultimate Skills (궁극스킬): The strongest skills available to a character.
- Range Type Skills (범위형 스킬): Skills with a large area of effect.
- Race Skills: These are skills associated with the users Race.
- Class Skills: These are skills that are associated with a users class.

Skill Effects[]
- Attack Magic: an offensive type magic.
- Attack Skills: an offensive type skill.
- Defensive Skill: skill that creates a shield to protects target normally to take, decrease or invalidate damage, but not counter.
- Buff: a term used to describe a temporary positive spell or effect that affects mainly player or NPCs Stats. Basically instils a positive status effect on the target. It is a skill that increases target's stats or cause beneficial states, also could be permanent.
- Debuff: a term used to describe a temporary negative spell or effect that affects mainly player or NPCs stats. Basically a negative status effect.
- Movement Skill (이동스킬):
- Recovery Skill: a skill that restores health and resources and remove states such as abnormal states.
- Summoning Skill: skill that summon something. It could be a weapon, monster or another NPC.
- Sealing Skill: a skill that seals a target(s).
