The Liberty City Cemetery is located on Staunton Island, Liberty City, next to the Liberty City Cathedral in Bedford Point. The cemetery appears in 1998, the setting of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, and 2000, the setting of Grand Theft Auto Advance. However by 2001, the setting of Grand Theft Auto III, most of the cemetery was paved over and replaced by the Bedford Point Opera House with only a small thin strip of land on the cathedral's north side is still remaining.

Description[]

The cemetery serves as the final resting place of Roger C. Hole (the late mayor of Liberty City), Paulie Sindacco (Don of the Sindacco Crime Family), Vincenzo Cilli (Caporegime of Leone Crime Family from 1994-1998), Dan Sucho and Cedric "Wayne" Fotheringay. Giovanni Casa also has a tombstone at the cemetery, despite his body being slaughtered into sausage meat and being sold at his own delicatessen. Also, Joseph Daniel O'Toole has a gravestone despite him being killed by Mickey Hamfists and his body being dumped into the sea. The tombstones of Hole and Sindacco are larger and more ornate than the other gravestones.

Gravestones[]

In Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, some gravestones can be found. Most headstones are blank, but others feature the names of characters killed during the game's storyline. In the mobile version, only the graves of the characters killed throughout the storyline have headstones.

The people on the gravestones and their comments are:

  • Dan Sucho - Dead... an' what not
  • Giovanni Casa - Gone...
  • Cedric "Wayne" Fotheringay (nothing)
  • Joseph Daniel O'Toole - Sleeping with angels
  • Vincenzo Cilli - Not so lucky after all
  • Roger C. Hole - Running for office in heaven
  • Paulie Sindacco - Viva Las Venturas Baby

  • There are two invisible gravestones in the cemetery. If the player runs onto them, the shadow of the gravestone will appear.
