Air drop is an Acid Product steal mission in Grand Theft Auto Online introduced in the Los Santos Drug Wars update.
Description[]
Mutt informs the player that a pilot friend from back home is going to make an air drop for them. The player is then instructed to go to the designated drop site.
Upon approaching the drop zone, Mutt will call the player to inform them that his friend is being pursued by Merryweather, and that he is dropping the supplies early. The player is then instructed to go to the backup drop site, where a Duster plane is seen dropping the supplies and flying away.

The backup drop site is already being guarded by a significant Merryweather force, including a Nightshark, several Mesas, Contenders and Enduros, as well as a manned APC with a front gunner and two Valkyrie helicopters arriving shortly thereafter, each with a gunner on the back. The player has the option to either sneak through undetected or fight them directly. Should the player opt for a sneaky approach, they must be aware of the enemies' vision cones, especially the larger ones from the APC and the Valkyries, as well as enemies patrolling the area. To give themselves more space to work with, the player can take out enemies silently, but this must be done efficiently and while the target is out of sight from other enemies. If detected, the enemies on foot will engage the player and the vehicles will start mobilizing. The armed vehicles will generally take too long to attack, with the APC's gunner having relatively low accuracy.
Regardless of the approach, the player must search the drop site for the Supplies, which will be a crate attached to a parachute, stuck either on a tree or a high structure, depending on the location (three different locations within the area). The crate is also equipped with bright red lights and a beeping sound device to help the player track it down. Should the player take too long to find the supplies, Mutt will inform them that the pilot has just activated the GPS tracker on the crate, which will be shortly marked on the map.

After the Supplies have been found, the player must detach it from the parachute by either shooting its clasp or using an explosive, collect it, and bring it back to the Brickade 6x6/Acid Lab. If the player has been spotted, Merryweather will pursue them in up to five pairs of Mesa off-roaders with 2 enemies each, but will drive away when the player is close to the Acid Lab. Once the Supplies are delivered, the mission is complete. If the Acid Lab is located too close to the drop site, the player will additionally have to leave the area to complete the mission.
