Read more > The Golden Girls is the story of four mature women who share a house in Miami, Florida -- sardonic and sharp-witted Dorothy Zbornak, man-hungry Southern belle Blanche Devereaux, sweetly-spacey St. Olafian Rose Nylund, and outspoken matriarch Sophia Petrillo. The ladies share their lives, laughs and loves together, and though they occasionally clash, they are always there for one another in the end. The Golden Girls originally aired from 1985 to 1992 on NBC-TV, and continues to air regularly on The Hallmark Channel, TV Land and Logo. All seven seasons are available to stream on Hulu, as well as its sequel series, The Golden Palace.

Empty Nest Empty Nest is the story of the ladies' next-door neighbor, pediatrician Harry Weston, whose world is turned upside-down when his wife dies and his daughters Carol and Barbara move back home. While Harry works long hours at the Community Medical Center, he tries his best to become the father his girls should've had long ago. The Westons are joined by their irritable neighbor Charley Dietz, Harry's no-nonsense Arkasas-born nurse Laverne Todd. Nurses Nurses follows the staff members of Department 3 West at the Community Medical Center -- recently-divorced Sandy Miller, witty head nurse Annie Roland, irrationally-terrified Julie Milbury, and flirtatious yet long-winded Gina Cuevas. Rounding out the team is the wisecracking Paco Ortiz, arrogant divorcée Dr. Hank Kaplan, and Jack Trenton, a slimy orderly who is only to fulfill his community service requirements.

It is with sadness that we read the news that Betty White, the last surviving member of The Golden Girls, has passed away. Her role as the honest, lovable, kindhearted Rose Nylund showed us how to be positive even during times of crisis, and what it takes to be the toughest Scandinavian in Miami. Whether it be stories from St. Olaf, memories of her husband, or fun with Dorothy, Blanche, and Sophia -- Rose and Betty kept enthusiasm, joy, and kindness at an all-time high. With this, we finally say "rest in peace" to the most lovable ladies on television. Thank you to Estelle, Rue, Bea, and Betty -- for you have made our lives truly golden. Join the tributes to Betty
