Lore

Fleuve Cendre is an underground gray area of Fontaine where the Gardes do not have as much access to. As such, Spina di Rosula has practically taken control of Fleuve Cendre. Many of the residents have spent time in the Fortress of Meropide and have come here for a new life. It is also a place where less fortunate residents of Fontaine and those with connections to Spina di Rosula reside.

Before the cataclysm 500 years ago, Fleuve Cendre was ruled by the outlaw Eduardo Baker, who led a powerful protection racket that maintained order in Fleuve Cendre. Due to disagreements with the bureaucracy of the Court of Fontaine, the Maison Gardiennage raided the place and captured Eduardo and his entourage, who were later sentenced to exile to the Great Red Sand. The incident came to be known as the purge of Fleuve Cendre.
