Karyn Parsons–Rockwell (born October 8, 1966 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Hilary Banks in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and as Emily Walburn in the 1995 comedy and box-office flop Major Payne.

In contrast to her ditsy role as Hilary, Parsons has helped to spread awareness about black history through publishing children's books on the subject. She is currently working on a children's level biography about Garrett Morgan, an African-American scientist who invented the gas mask and the traffic stoplight.
