Hola amigos, ¿qué opináis? La duda me ha surgido al ver las fotos de un conocido grupo, sobre la luz dura. Esta imagen, ¿diríais que tiene una luz dura o más bien suave? Gracias!!
Hello friends, what do you think? The doubt has arisen when seeing the photos of a well-known group, based today on the hard light. This image, would you say that it has a hard or rather soft light? Thank you!!
Captured towards the end of a morning shoot in Twigmoor Woods, North Lincolnshire. This appears at the end of my recent YouTube video (youtu.be/Svoa8vUz5Bg), on dealing with clutter when photographing in the woods.
I mentioned at the end of the video that I was going to continue scouting round looking for other compositions, and this is one of the images I found. The sun was good enough to make an appearance to add that extra interest.
As I had been using my Olympus for videoing during the morning, I thought it only fair to give it a go with the photos this time.

The dusk light last evening was strange in the light rain and once in a while it draws you into the backyard to take a look.
Has the nights are getting long and the rush hour begins. I head to a motorway (highway) bridge to create light trails.

The monastery complex of Meteora, Greece, sits thousands of feet above the ground, making it one of the most remote places to live and worship in the world.
While 30 monasteries were built over the centuries, today only six remain active.

After doing a little local research, I found I could actually get out to this small lighthouse at the South-Western tip of Heysham Harbour.
Having got there, what a fascinating place. You have an old pier head, that is a feature in itself, in the upper left of this shot. There are also two large water outlets that flow out of the Heysham Nuclear Power Station, again, they would make a fascinating shot aligned with the setting sun and you have this wonderful old Light with Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland fells in the background.
I was also treated to a fascinating "dredger ship" doing its stuff in the sealane by the harbour entrance. I will post a shot of that at some later point. I will definitely get back here in the future!
A light engine move, with Western Maryland SD’s on both ends, rolls past the B&O station at Rockwood, Pennsylvania. The bridge in the background was part of Western Maryland’s connection between its main line and the B&O Somerset branch. The WM had trackage rights on the branch to reach isolated trackage that served mines beyond Somerset.

We all got surprised yesterday? Quite a cold morning! The air was crisp and cool, but city felt calm. As it was beginning to stir, the only sounds you are able to hear were gentle lapping of the water against the shore, and the soft hum of distant traffic. It was good to go back to the old spot and capture some of that atmosphere. What do you think?

A Bird's eye view over Mainstreet in KCMO. This district is named the Power and Light for its revitalization of the downtown area. The streetcar was making its way South towards Union Station.
