Keemia Marko is a Marvel Comics character who is the daughter of Sandman. She has the same powers of her father and known as the villain Sandgirl. She is voiced by Sofia Carson in Spider-Man.
Keemia was created by Fred Van Lente and Javier Pulido.
History[]
Flint Marko took Keemia everywhere he went. One night he took her to a factory in New Jersey where she was ordered to stay in the car. After sitting alone for some time, she got scared, left the car, and entered the factory, where she saw her father get covered in sand. She was later covered in the same sand. When Hammerhead started to leave, he found her buried in sand. He saved her and trained her to control her powers.
Later, a monstrous sand creature attacks her while she was at the Coney Island fair where she is later saved by Spider-Man. From there she left and met up with Hammerhead. The next time she appeared, she was at Hammerhead's estate, where she took on and defeated her father Sandman. She was winning against Spider-Man when the Symbiote took control and saved the hero's life. From there she was easily defeated by the black suit Spider-Man. She jumps through a window and escapes into the night.
Sandgirl later returns in "Critical Update" where she is now forming her own mob with the members from Hammerhead, Silverman, and Big Wheel after Spider-Man defeated them, she and her gang lure Spider-man into a trap and imprison him in a cage and start shocking him with electricity. Unaware to Sandgirl, Spider-Man was actually Doctor Octopus who had switched minds with him. Spy-D came to help and cause Dr. Octopus to escape and sent his octobots to take on Sandgirl's goons while she deals with Spy-D. Enraged to see her men get beaten, she decided to take on Doc Ock and his drones though she managed to destroy the drones, Doc Ock used a metal cable against her, but caught it. However, what she didn't what Doc Ock through the cable to the cage turn on the electricity and turn her into a glass statue.
Doc Ock was about to shatter her, but Spy-D stop him and let the police take her in. Sandgirl was later brought to the cellar where Regnet used her powers to captured the Avengers.
Powers[]
She has the same powers of Sandman. She was able to stabilize her sand molecules much more easily than the original Sandman, yet she still has a piece of her face missing.
