Linnet Ridgeway-Doyle is a character featured in the 2022 mystery film Death on the Nile based on the 1937 novel of the same name by Agatha Christie. She is a wealthy and beautiful heiress who marries Simon Doyle, the former fiancé of her friend Jacqueline de Bellefort. She is also the main murder victim in the story, as she is shot in the head while sleeping on a cruise ship on the Nile River.

In the film, Linnet is introduced as a glamorous socialite who attends a London club where she meets Simon, a land agent hired by Jacqueline. She offers him a job at her estate, Wode Hall, and soon falls in love with him. She elopes with Simon, breaking Jacqueline's heart and earning her hatred. Linnet and Simon go to Egypt for their honeymoon, where they are stalked by Jacqueline, who follows them everywhere and makes scenes. Linnet asks Hercule Poirot, a famous Belgian detective who happens to be on vacation in Egypt, to help her get rid of Jacqueline. Poirot agrees to talk to Jacqueline but warns Linnet that she may have made enemies with her selfish actions.
Linnet and Simon board the S.S. Karnak, a river steamer that takes them on a tour of ancient Egyptian sites. Among the other passengers are Colonel Race, a British intelligence agent and Poirot's friend; Andrew Katchadourian, Linnet's American trustee who has embezzled her money; Mrs. Allerton and her son Tim, wealthy travelers who befriend Poirot; Salome Otterbourne, a flamboyant novelist and her daughter Rosalie; Dr. Bessner, a German physician; Mr. Fanthorp, an English lawyer; Signor Richetti, an Italian archaeologist; and Louise Bourget, Linnet's French maid. Jacqueline also manages to get on board, much to Linnet's dismay.
During the cruise, Linnet has several unpleasant encounters with some of the passengers, who reveal their motives for disliking or envying her. She also narrowly escapes death when a boulder falls near her at the temple of Abu Simbel. That night, she and Simon play bridge with Race and Pennington in the saloon. After the game, she retires to her cabin with Simon. Later that night, she is shot in the head by an unknown assailant, who leaves a letter J written in blood on the wall.
Poirot and Race investigate the murder, which turns out to be part of a complex plot involving several of the passengers. They discover that Simon was actually in love with Jacqueline all along and that they planned to kill Linnet and inherit her fortune. They also learn that Pennington tried to kill Linnet at Abu Simbel to cover his fraud that; Louise stole Linnet's pearls and was killed by Jacqueline; that Mrs. Otterbourne witnessed Linnet's murder and was killed by Simon that; Richetti was actually an international criminal wanted by Race and that Bessner had a grudge against Linnet for ruining his career.
