When supply chain problems threatened to delay the opening of this state-of-the-art educational center, Coryell Roofing answered the call for help . . . . The doors to PEAK Innovation Center. At this facility, “career and college-bound students develop real-world skills and earn industry-specific certifications” were to open on January 1, 2022. However, the supply chain shortages facing the entire roofing industry caused the original contractor to push back the opening date to late April, meaning almost a semester of lost educational opportunity. Shawn Shaffer, in charge of Fort Smith Public School facilities, asked Kelly Coryell to look at the roof and see if he could help. Coryell obliged, confident that if anyone could help, it would be Coryell Roofing, with its solid partnership with suppliers and its tried-and-true team of problem solvers.
The Coryell team inspected the building on 10/27/21, proposed a roofing system on 10/29/21, had the material on the ground at the site by 12/13/21, and completed the entire project, including warranty inspection, by 12/27/21!
PEAK Innovation Center’s teachers, students, and innovative classrooms with their high-tech equipment are now securely covered. Gone is the old, leaking metal roof with its damaged skylights and drainage system. In place is a 60 mil Duro-Last Metal Retrofit roofing system with a newly designed drainage pattern, new gutters, and edge metal by Exceptional Metals. From the proposal to the finish, the project was completed in just sixty days, and PEAK Innovation Center opened its doors as scheduled on January 1, 2022!
