KENWOOD— A city lot for sale in Kenwood is not your average development parcel. It's a 50' x 150' piece of land on the south side of the Obama home. Interested? The lot will cost you a whopping $899K and the vetting process is sure to cost you some sleep. The previous owner failed in erecting a custom-built mansion. No telling why.
UPTOWN— JDL Development has breathed new life into a plan for 776 rental units at the site of the old Maryville Academy. Unveiling their concept at a Wednesday meeting, Curbed was there to jot it all down. The plan concentrates apartments into two towers instead of three and only downsizes the overall unit count by 74. Yet somehow this version is winning praise while prior iterations were chased off by angry mobs.

EDGEWATER— Another notable residential project is back from the development deadpool, this time Bluewater 5440 on Sheridan Avenue. The 190-unit rental tower has been redesigned in a crisp "Barcelona" style, with glassy modular elements. Pretty nifty, actually. And it all might happen very soon.
