In the last 20 minutes it’s started to rain heavily and there’s an unusual amount of thunder and lightening. Our scaredy-cat German shepherd Lily has managed to limbo her way underneath our new bed to hide from the onslaught.

Hasn’t rained in a while, but it’s just started and there’s some smaller-than-pea-sized hail mixed in! Some great thunder/lightening as well.
Santa Anas are blowing hard this morning.
It’s drizzling down here, but 4,683 feet up (and a scant 4.167 miles from the front door) it’s snowing!

We just had about two minutes of hail in Southern California! This doesn’t happen very often to be sure.
The heavy New Year’s winds seem to be kicking up here at home.
Dense fog this morning on the ground. The mountain looks clear and the sun has just come out.
Heavy winds hitting us this morning near the mountains in the Eaton Canyon area of Altadena. Seems to be 30-40+ mph sustained winds which woke me up around 5:30am and continuing on.
From earlier this morning, there’s a high wind warning:

Travel on Interstate 5 and Highway 14 in Los Angeles County
