Ronald Cox was a judge on the Washington Court of Appeals, Division I. He was elected to this position in 1994 and took office in January 1995. He retired on May 31, 2018.[1] He served as chief judge of Division I and as presiding chief judge of the court of appeals.[2] He was re-elected by voters in 2000, 2006, and 2012.[3][4]
Education
Cox graduated from the West Point U.S. Military Academy in New York. He then served in the army in Germany, Vietnam, and the U.S. He received his law degree from the University of Washington School of Law.[5]
Career
Judge Cox worked as a partner of the law firm Preston, Gates & Ellis LLP before he was elected to the court of appeals in 1994.[5]
2012 election
Cox was re-elected after running unopposed.[6][7][8]
