My name is Marty Zimmerman. I am a Denver native, Manual Thunderbolt, a husband, son and father and former president of my synagogue. For the past two decades I have helped more than 400 nonprofits fill gaps in providing services to people who our city is supposed to serve. In each situation, on each issue, I have always been able to get results. I am running to bring real results to Denver's City Government.
  • Marty has worked with over 400 non-profits in the Denver area working on issues ranging from affordable housing to gun violence to the climate emergency. He has a unique knowledge of where the cities shortcoming are and will empower the partners in the community that are already working on these issues.
  • He has helped more than 15 Denver businesses start that have significantly impacted our communities. These businesses range from nonprofits serving our youth with autism to workforce development for the Latino community to helping with the creation of a BIPOC Nonprofit Development Center.
  • He has a Master’s in Social Work focusing on nonprofit management. This means that he is trained as a facilitator, to listen, to build coalitions, and to understand the issues affecting people.
Affordable housing - increasing the supply of affordable housing will positively impact Denver's economy, improve health outcomes, and create housing stability for individuals and families experiencing housing insecurity.

Homelessness / Houselessness - addressing the pipeline to houselessness, increasing prevention strategies, and providing additional resources including wraparound services and case management will help the most at - risk individuals in our community.

Public Safety - utilizing evidence based programs that deter crime will make our communities safer, increase sales & tourism, and reduce the long term costs associated with criminality.
