Margaret Kelliher (Democratic Party) was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, representing District 60A. She assumed office in 1998. She left office in 2011.
Kelliher (Democratic Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Minnesota's 5th Congressional District. She lost in the Democratic primary on August 14, 2018.
Kelliher is a former Democratic-Farmer Labor member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, representing District 60A from 1998 to 2011. While in office, she served as Speaker of the House. She served as Minority Whip from 2002-2006, was a Constituent Liaison for the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1991-1995, and a Community Organizer for the Bryn Mawr Neighborhood Association from 1995-1997.
Biography
Kelliher earned her MPA from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and B.A. in history/political science from Gustavus Adolphus College.
Kelliher is a member of the Basilica of Saint Mary, Bryn Mawr Neighborhood Association, League of Women Voters, Minneapolis Institute of the Arts, and the Minnesota 4-H Foundation. She is married and has 2 children.[1]
