The Labor, Commerce & Tribal Affairs Committee is a standing committee of the Washington State Senate.

Per Section V of the Senate Rules, committees of the Washington State Senate are appointed by the President of the Senate and confirmed by the senate.[1] Committees are responsible for considering measures referred to them in the interest of the state.[2] The deliberations of committees considering a vote on any bill, resolution, or memorial must be open to the public.[3]

Function

The Labor, Commerce & Tribal Affairs Committee considers topics including, but not limited to:

issues relating to employment standards, industrial insurance, unemployment insurance and collective bargaining. The committee also considers tribal issues and has oversight of commerce issues relating to alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, and gaming.[4][5]
