Judy Schurke was a Director of the Washington Department of Labor & Industries. She was first appointed to the position by then-Governor Christine Gregoire in March 2007, after having served as acting director for five months.[1] She stepped down from her position effective December 31, 2012.[2]

Schurke was first appointed to the position in March 2007, after having served as acting director for five months.[3] She stepped down in 2012, and her successor, Joel Sacks, was appointed by newly sworn-in Governor Jay Inslee. Sacks assumed office on January 16, 2013.[4]

In March 2007, then-Governor Christine Gregoire appointed Schurke as the Director of the Washington Department of Labor and Industries. Shurke served five months as interim Director of the department prior to the promotion.
